What is Acupuncture?

Acupuncture is one of the oldest, safest, and most effective oriental medicine practices often used to treat a wide-variety of today’s common ailments. For thousands of years, oriental medicine practitioners have used acupuncture to treat such conditions as arhritis, chronic pain, and vascular headaches. The technique itself, involves the insertion of filiform needles into specific points on the body, which manipulate muscle and tissue to help releive the patient’s pain. According to the World Health Organization, acupuncture is effective for treating 28 conditions in total, and there is evidence to suggest that it could be effective for several dozen more.
